CONTAVA corporate culture is based on 6 core values: accountability, creativity, respect, integrity, passion, and well-being. We invest in our work and continually strive for success, but we have fun doing it!

Throughout the year, CONTAVA holds many teambuilding and celebration events.

In 2014, one of our major team building activities was the “30 x 30″ – an initiative started by the David Suzuki Foundation. The premise is that individuals make an intentional effort to spend 30 minutes in nature for the 30 days in May. CONTAVA employees in Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto were divided into two teams at the onset of the event: the majestic prairie warriors, Team Bison, and the fiercely resilient and regal Team Moose. Through a spirit of competition and challenge, our employees took and sent in photos of their time spent in  nature every day.

CONTAVA’s superb participation during the month included a total of over 800 photos from employees spending over 24,000 minutes in nature. We saw 97% of employees send in photos and almost 1/5 of all CONTAVA employees participated every single day. Against all odds, the competition ended in a TIE! Both teams celebrated in style with a wrap-up party in Edmonton and a BBQ in Calgary.
