November 5, 2009:
Upon completion of its first Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) audit, CONTAVA was awarded a Certificate of Recognition (COR) which signifies a commitment to health and safety programs and a willingness to incorporate health and safety into the company culture. It is understood by every employee of CONTAVA that we are responsible for our safe work and conduct at all times.
July 15, 2009:
On July 15, 2009, CONTAVA entered into an all inclusive proactive preventive maintenance agreement with Alberta Law Courts for their BAGGAGE X-RAY and WALK THROUGH METAL DETECTOR security equipment. This new service offering which is available throughout Western Canada is designed to reduce overall operational costs as well as extend the life of the specialized security equipment.
June 30, 2009:
CONTAVA completed a comprehensive training program which resulted in over 90% of its field staff being certified in advanced security integration. The company now has the largest number of Lenel enterprise specialists in Canada.
May 1, 2009:
The company was awarded and began security work on the first public building designed and built to house multiple departments for the municipal and provincial governments. The Slave Lake Government Centre will be completed and operational by 2010.
February 28, 2009:
CONTAVA was selected by one of the nation's largest telecommunication companies to deliver comprehensive access control and CCTV technology upgrades in buildings and facilities across the country. Work which begins this summer in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia will be scheduled and assigned to CONTAVA by the client's project management team.
December 15, 2008:
CONTAVA reduced its carbon footprint today by replacing its older less efficient service vehicles with the VW Jetta TDI wagons which exceed the most stringent North American emission standards without sacrificing fuel efficiency, power, performance and safety.
October 15, 2008:
An Edmonton elite U14 boy’s soccer team, co-sponsored by CONTAVA, represented Alberta in the national outdoor championships in Prince Edward Island and brought home a bronze medal, defeating Manitoba 1-0 on the last day of the tournament.
July 31, 2008:
As of July 1, 2008, CONTAVA opened the Calgary office in a convenient location near the intersection of the Deerfoot and Barlow Trails. The combination warehouse and office space will provision and serve all their clients in southern Alberta.
May 1, 2008:
Effective May 20th, 2008, the offices in Edmonton and Calgary will be renamed, branded and operated as “CONTAVA, a division of The CSS Group Ltd.”. They will continue to provide exceptional products and services throughout western Canada and look forward to growing its business as CONTAVA.

On February 1st 2008, The CSS Group Ltd. acquired 100% of the Security Division of Infosat Communications Inc. and will be responsible for all on-going business and work for that Division. This acquisition is part of the CSS growth strategy to become a leading security provider in Canada. |
